And U Clothed Me (AUCM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the love of Jesus Christ. Inspired by Matthew 25:35–40, our journey began when founder Brenda McDaniel returned from a life-changing mission trip to Uganda. There, amidst deep poverty, she witnessed the joyful resilience of orphaned children — an encounter that stirred her heart and led to a calling from God.
If you had told me years ago that God would one day use my life to impact people halfway around the world, I probably would have smiled and wondered how that could ever happen. But God has a way of taking ordinary people with willing hearts and leading them on extraordinary journeys.
I have learned that God rarely calls the qualified—He qualifies those who are willing to say “yes.”
That “yes” became AND U CLOTHED ME Ministries.
What began with a burden to help those in need has grown into a Christ-centered ministry serving children, families, pastors, and communities in Uganda through education, feeding programs, clothing distributions, vocational training, discipleship, and the sharing of the Gospel. Every opportunity has been a reminder that true ministry is about more than meeting physical needs—it’s about introducing people to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Over the years, I have watched God open doors that only He could open. I have seen Him provide when there seemed to be no resources, send the right people at exactly the right time, protect us through difficult seasons, and continually remind me that this ministry belongs to Him—not to me.
The journey has also included seasons of deep personal pain.
Like many people, I have experienced heartbreak, disappointment, unanswered questions, and circumstances I never imagined I would face. Yet I have discovered that God’s faithfulness is often seen most clearly in the valleys. He has never left me. He has used every trial to deepen my dependence on Him, strengthen my faith, and increase my compassion for others who are hurting.
One of the greatest lessons He has taught me is that our greatest ministry often flows from the places where He has healed us.
Today, I continue to lead AND U CLOTHED ME Ministries with the same desire that first stirred my heart—to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether I’m sitting on the floor with children in Uganda, praying with someone who has lost hope, speaking in churches, leading mission teams, or encouraging someone who feels forgotten, my prayer is always the same: “Lord, let people see You.”
I believe every person is created in the image of God, deeply loved by Him, and created with purpose. My passion is to help people experience not only practical help for today but the eternal hope that can only be found through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about my story and the ministry God has entrusted to me. I invite you to become part of what He is doing—through your prayers, your encouragement, your giving, or perhaps even by joining us on a mission trip.
Together, we can continue bringing hope, sharing the Gospel, and reminding people around the world that they are loved, they are valued, and they are never forgotten.
To God be all the glory,
Brenda
