AndUClothedMe

And U Clothed Me (AUCM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to clothing orphans and transforming lives through the love of Jesus Christ. Inspired by Matthew 25:35–40, our journey began when founder Brenda McDaniel returned from a life-changing mission trip to Uganda. There, amidst deep poverty, she witnessed the joyful resilience of orphaned children — an encounter that stirred her heart and led to a calling from God.

What started as a mission to hand-make and personally deliver clothes to orphans has grown into something even greater: a Sewing Center in Uganda, where we provide young women with free, life-sustaining training in sewing, design, and entrepreneurship. Through these practical skills, we empower them to break cycles of poverty and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and generations to come.

We still provide clothes for the children, but now our AUCM Sewing Center students make the clothes.

At the core of everything we do is Christ’s love in action — a love that listens, serves, uplifts, and transforms. We believe in the power of Jesus, the dignity of every person, and the opportunity that comes through education and empowerment. Our mission is to bring hope, healing, and lasting impact — one life at a time.

I am sharing my story with you and your organization today in hopes that you can help us to continue our journey to clothe the children of the world. As a non-profit group, we rely solely on the generous donations of our supporters for sewing materials and financial contributions for each trip.
